With a brief statistics about the achievements and follow-ups of the Basra Health Office on the issue of addicts and drug users, the Dr. Abbas Khalaf Al-Tamimi, Director General of the Basra Health Office, gave a lecture enhanced by statistics.
This was within the activities of the Sixth International Conference of the Iraqi Association for Medical Research and Studies, which was held on the seventh and eighth of October in Basra under the title
“The risks and challenges of Substance Related & addiction Disorders in Iraq”
With a wide local, national, regional and international presence, he came out with practical decisions and put them at the disposal of the concerned authorities as a road map to rid the country of this dangerous scourge.
